What the first consultation is like, and why it takes as long as it does

The first consultation is the most important part of the whole process. It involves a study of the entire face — proportions, symmetry, facial thirds, skin quality, bone structure — and, above all, listening.

From a feeling to a diagnosis

Many patients arrive with a very specific idea of what they want to change. Others arrive with a vaguer feeling: "I look tired", "I do not recognise myself in photographs". Both are good places to start. The surgeon's job is to translate that feeling into an anatomical diagnosis and to explain clearly what can and cannot be done.

What no brochure tells you

  • The real recovery, day by day.
  • How long healing takes.
  • The discomfort you can expect, and the risks.

A well-informed patient makes better decisions and faces recovery far more calmly.
